Stupid wiper motor

Okay, I have the rear wiper system and a while back I added a rear wing which required that I remove the wiper and wiper post and install a longer post. Did that. But now, the wiper motor simply just rotates in a circle instead of a back and forth arc. What the hell? Didn't touch the wiring at all.

Anybody know how to fix it besides a BFH?

The wiper motor always rotates only in a circular way, it's the attached mechanism what makes the back and forth motion.

Sam,

Where did you get the longer post from, do you have a part number?

Cheers,

Tim.

I actually got the longer post from the dealer...with the PCA discount is was, sadly, less than our hosts price. There is a spacer that is needed too...which is a total rip off because it is $20 for a sleeve of metal that you can probably buy for $3 at Home Depot and cut to size.

About how it rotates...finally understand in my mind how that works with the metal link between...just have to move the condenser so it has the needed room to rotate...suddenly too tight in there...

Thanks Sam,

Do you have the part number of the spacer as well? or the length will do!

Cheers,

Tim.
