I guess mine would have to be meeting a few of my top leftenants in the 614th Seattle Shock troop Brigade.

Here I am inspecting the troops:

It was a rough year.
I gained allot, and lost allot. But I am none the worse for wear.

I guess mine would have to be running laps on the Nurburgring...I will remember that day for the rest of my life!

Then again, taking the train to Harald's house to pick up the car with the 3.6 tucked inside...that was a pretty awesome day as well.

Mine was buying my 76 911 with webers, and driving it home from California. I went 135mph in the desert at night four hours after i picked it up, What a RUSH

Many great memories from '03 for sure. The best was going to Monterey for RGruppe and making many new friends and seeing a fantastic group of Pcars. This event was followed closely by my purchase of a '73 RS, my dream car. Very cool summer.

Being able to finally afford to have some fun with my car and do some mods... Retro-fitting fiber bumpers doing all the prep, paint, install and finish work and have it all turn out really nice overall... Heck, it's ALLL GOOOD....

Without a doubt it was the day I brought my 914 out to Streets of Willow the morning after the guys at OTTOS had worked late finishing up the -6 conversion. It had literally gotten buttoned up around 8:30pm and was at the track 6:30am the next day.

The car was running crappily all the way out there (no trailer yet at that time). Not ever having driven a -6 or knowing what to expect from the donor engine (which the shop had not worked on - off the pallete into the car), I initially just thought "OK, a bit underwhelming but I guess this is how it's gonna be".

Well, lo and behold I chased down a crossed plug wire later that morning and had an ear-to-ear grin the first time I hammered it around the desert roads surrounding Willow. The first experience of the small-six right behind my head zinging up to 7K was glorious...and still is.

Mine was finding a great car in NC, having two cool Pelicans check it out and having it pass muster (thanks Tim and Keith). Then "bonding" with the car on the trip home (7 hours - with traffic, should have been 5).

Mine was driving the twisties in southeastern Minnesota with friends I met on this board. Sarah, Tim, Mike, Nancy and of course my wife who "gets it" and loves to tool around in the P-car.

Meeting famous people at Ventura (Wayne and Bruce Anderson).

Or just about every time I turned the key on the SC.

Well it was an amazing five day, high speed journey in May. Driving to Monterrey from Denver in my gulf blue 72S clone for RGRUPPE reunion, meeting kindred spirits, being the first car of a parade lap group on Laguna Seca (!) and finally on the return leg, breaking down (frozen wheel bearing) on Donner Pass in a snowstorm but thankfully resolving it within 36 hours(Sunday and early Monday). I still can not believe it all happened and the car is sleeping in the garage asking when are we going again!

Getting laps in a GT3 Cup with R suspension and Goodyear slicks!

As an old lame 935K3 IMSA racer this is similar to the difference between a 356 swing axle and a 911 or between a low-pivot swing axle RSK and a RS-60. Porsche got it right.

Best,
Grady

Best memory...

Either when the car load of hotties in the BMW pulled up behind me waving...and the blonde jumped into my cabriolet at the red light on the PCH.

or...possibly this mornings fun-run from Phoenix to LA. 412 mile in 4.5 hours across the desert as the sun came up.

Cool Finding My First 911!!!

Logging over 1,000 miles in 5 weeks before the first snow in michigan in my "new" 911! Looks like spring will be a busy time for the new ride.

1. Finally buying my own Porsche, after years of wishing I had one of my dad's.

2. Finding this forum (what did I do with my extra time before I found it?)
