3.0 Turbo
What is that '77 3.0 Turbo engine worth that is listed on eBay? Would I be better off installing a 3.2 or 3.6 in my '77?

Depends on what you need/want. Are you a HP junkie? If so, go turbo. If not, stick with normally aspirated engines.

Turbo's have the advantage of good MPG when driving slow and a good kick when getting on it. Bad when accelerating through a curve (with 911 weight configuration figure that one out).
All turbos should have delay shutoff timers IMO so the internals oil passages don't cook closed. I saw something on Ebay, but I'm one of 10,000 viewers and decided not to post a silly question.

pig in a poke. you can pay a lot, and then find it's worn out, and needs a rebuild.

Having put a 75 930 in my SC. I can say putting the turbo motor in the car was one of the best things I could have done. I took a chance on a used motor. I paid $5k for mine. I had some issues but it had great leakdown #'s. It is a freakin blast now. I would get leakdowns from any motor that I wanted to buy
