MFI w/ headers-heat?
I am converting a 73.5T CIS to 2.4E MFI. My heat exchangers do not have an outlet for heat to the MFI (not talking about the pre-heater for the airbox). I am wondering if I really need this. I am wondering what someone with pure headers would do in this situation. Is the heat takeoff for cold start situations? If so could I modify my manual choke in the car to operate this? What would a racer do with his MFI and with headers?

Without heat to the MFI pump, the car will run very rich. You could rig something as done in the picture below, but then starting won't be easy. My advise is to get the proper heat exchanger with outlet for the MFI. I do not see that much advantages using headers.
