Nice car and good year. I had a 80SC a few years ago also.

nice car...does it have bright trim around the windows instead of dark anodized, or it is just the reflection? It does look like you could lower the rear a bit.

Have not seen any tortoises, I think they would be hard to miss
in the road. I wish the car had bright trim but it's actually very
well faded black trim. I had the front pieces powder coated last
year when I had the windshield out. Someday I'll do the rest.

Arizona must be a great place to own a 911. I was in Scottsdale in November for a few days.

One day while rushing for a tee time at Wee-Ko-Pa, i missed the turning and carried on down Highway 87 for about an hour. (i was told you couldnt miss the signs so i kept driving...)

During that hour i mustve seen no more than 10 other vehicles... And the road was just stunning.. Fast sweepers and great elevation changes.. No signs of human habitation.. Just an empty dual carriageway in amazing countryside.. A few miles after Sunflower i realised something was amiss so turned round and headed back to Phoenix.

On the drive back my Chevrolet Impala hire car/boat started to stutter like it was running out of petrol.. It took me a second to realise that i'd hit the rev limiter at 115 or so..

Missed my tee-time, but joined the game on the 2nd. Would have been there on time in my 911....

Just thinkin about the climate and empty roads you guys have over there makes me depressed to be stuck in London in the middle of winter...

Im not bitter about it tho..!!

Good looking car!! My first 911 was silver. And I love that area of the country where you live. We were out in Jerome and Sedona last year on vacation and had a great time.

Speaking of drives, who's up for one? How about some time in February?

BTW Joe, I purchased a Garmin 2610 GPS unit. It is one sweet gadget.

Mark,

Glad you got the Garmin. We need to talk about software sometime. Various options for the Street Pilot and 2610.

Am flying almost all this next month, leaving for Munich in two days. Stay in touch on the drive and will make it if possible.

Thx,

Joe

Welcome KNS, I lived in AZ for about 5 years (ASU). My friends and I used to flame those roads on our rice bikes. I would love to do it again in the 911.

Wow. Gorgeous car, Kurt! Very nicely done. The wheels really do it for me. Welcome.

February is a busy month for me depending on what day a drive
may take place on. Actually, March is looking busy as well, we're
a little short handed at work. I'd still be interested if I can work it in.
Kurt.
