What?!?!

There's a 72 911 for sale that might be a good fit for me in the Roswell area. Can someone go give it a look for me?
The high points.... Looks like a fairly clean 72 with a 3.2 engine. Recent paint, carpet, brakes and a few other items. Lows....It appears to need some cosmetics and has Cookie Cutters (ok, the wheels aren't necessarily a low). I've already spoke to Jack Lewis regarding PPI and the transplant was done by Performance Imports. Timing for me is a little off but if the car checks out I can make it work. Oh yeah, does anyone know this car? Black 72 owned by Scott. Thanks, Don |

I am almost positive I saw this car on ebay around a year ago.
Maybe he has been trying to sell it for awhile??? I think the Cookie Cutters look great, IMHO. -RyanM Last edited by RyanM; 01-28-2004 at 03:44 AM.. |

Don, if you don't find anyone by this weekend, let me know and I'll run up on Saturday, after donuts. In fact, maybe you can get the owner to drive it down to the donut shop on Sat morning where a number of Pelicans reside,
Bob

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that is was on ebay that ended on Sunday. Did not meet reserve and last bid was 12,900.
He sent other pics that don't really show a lot. It would need a fair amount of cosmetics to make it "pretty". Seems this car has potential IMO. Just not sure on how much, yet. It has 993 brakes up front. Will Fuchs fit w/out any issue? Gotta have my Fuchs. Amir, I'll make you a deal on the Cutters. If I got the owner to go down for donuts, would you "knuckle-heads" give me first refusal and not buy it out from under me? Just kidding, I know you would.......right? Thanks Bob, I got Jack Lewis # from one of your other posts.

What?!?!

Just not my preference. Is there a clearance difference with Cutters with regard to brakes?

There is a local guy looked at it today and is looking again tomorrow, I think he lurks here. Pretty serious about buying it. We discussed the car for some time after he looked today.

Hmm... bid to $12,900 on ebay, but sold for $11,500. Just curious, but why didn't you relist it on ebay?

Erik is not the seller. Belonged to another local guy. I looked at it yesterday myself. Car had been ebayed twice and seller claimed to me he was tired of haggling over a few hundred bucks. Apparently the guy who was the high bidder at 12,900 was going to buy the car, but later changed his mind.
