Oh yea, I have a stock single in/single out. I have seen the old pictures of the dual in to dual out conversion. Is the internals of my muffler similar?

So that is the dual in / single out modded to dual out. Are the internals the same on that muffler as mine?

A guy posted these pics on the PCGB forum a while back. Not sure if this is the standard way of 'gutting' a muffler but it shows the layout of the exhaust before and after.

Note the original article... OK for pre-74
Later models have altered interiors, like the photo.. --Wil Ferch
