Need a favor from someone going to Dunkel Bros.

My car was purchased from ĎDon Burns Porsche/Audií in Garden Grove in 1970 and I thought it would be cool to have an original dealer license plate frame. I know itís a long shot but if someone happens to see one at the swap meet, Iíd pay a case of your favorite German beer as a finders fee and of course reimburse for the frame cost. I think $50.00 is the most Iíd want to pay though.

TIA

Charles

Hi Charles - how's the car?

My '78 SC also came new from Don Burns in Garden Grove. I've been looking for one of the frames for 10 years! Pomona, etc. Never seen one.

So, if anyone sees one and Dunkels, I'd be willing to pay $51! (Kidding!)

Hi Charles - how's the car?
Brian,

Car is doing great. I canít believe itís been over a year. I broke 100,000 on the odometer last week.
Iíve replaced all the shifter related bushings, throttle stuff like bell crank etc.., hoses, new tires, refinished wheels, shocks/struts, correct door mirror, correct seat belts and Iím replacing the Marelli distributor this weekend with a Bosch that will have the optical pick up. Lots of little stuff that I canít remember too.
Do you still have the e28? You should try and make it down in March for the 3rd annual St. Paddyís Day Meet.

Take care,
Chas.

(BTW, Iíll pay $52.00 for a frame)

Garage
I took those off my 912 and threw them away. My car had been there for service and they put the frames on when i was'nt looking. That had to be in 1970 or so
