What wheels will fit my '72 E
I would like to put some wider Fuchs on my '72 E What sizes will fit? I don't mind 15" wheels since they were original. i currently have 6" wheels front and rear on. Will a 7 fit in the back?
Cheers, James

James,
7's in the rear will fit but they can be tight. Sometimes they require rolling the fender or playing with the camber. The 7" R wheels fit really easily but they're major $$.

James,
I use 6" all the way around with 225/55R15 R3S03. 9.4" section width. Fenders rolled and ground to the limit. Somebody recommended that I get a set of 7's as the sidewall would be more nearly vertical. I haven't tried the late 7's however. The 7R wheels are not only expensive, they are pretty old. I saw a guy at Summit Point that had three cracks around the bolt holes in one of his after a session. That was enough to persuade me not to spend the money.

Hey James! I might have a set of deep six's for sale depending on the fit of the late 16" six & sevens I will be receiving soon. I will let you know.

I have a 69E with 7*15 and 205-50-15's. If you don't lower the car they are ok. If you do drop the car all you have to do is trim off the .250" strip of inner fender lip at the top inboard side of the fender at a length of about 5". Easy to do and it is unnoticeable. You won't get any bigger than the 205/50/15 though. That is it, I tried it.
