Show Me Your Silver Targa.....
I'm planning my bare metal restore. Original color was silver. I'd like to see what it will look like when complete.
Also thinking about white. So pics of white and silver early Targa's would be terrific. Thanks. Joe 73 E Targa |

Curt has some nice pics of his Grey Ghost to look at. Do a search and you'll find them.
What is the original colour code? There was a couple of different silvers around at that time. Mine's 936 (from memory), which is a relatively scarce VW silver metallic.

Matt,
Uh oh. Colour code. Thats a tuffy, car was repainted and if there was a sticker someplace with the color code....its probably gone. Where should it be? Also, the only original documentation I have is the owners manual.....which has no specific car info. Vin is 9113210141. Could someone look it up? Trunk area is still original silver but doubt that could be used for matching....being that its 30 years old. I dont have any chips for comparison anyway. exc911ence - Me likes! Especially with chrome and small bumperettes. Is that targa bar polished or original stainless look? Last edited by joe73targa; 01-30-2004 at 02:19 PM.. |
