Pictures of racecar - needs graphics! What do you think?

Looking for ideas to jaz this racecar up a bit. What design ideas should I consider?

smooth ride! with a solid color like that I would say just go for some historic stickers/decals and be done with it. with those rims it is such a period looking car that anything to jazzy my look lame in my view. good luck and post some shots of that 2.5!

Go Basic....Numbers within a circle (Hood and doors), with maybe a single stripe down the hood, roof, boot...but not center as it would look great down the drivers side.

Awesome Mark! That's what I was talking about except move the stripe to the drivers side and about 1/2 the width.

All race cars need spice and fortunately, it's appropriate. Whereas, all that stuff looks silly on the street. I agree on keeping it simple. And you might do it all in vinyl so you can rip it off and do something different down the road. Just numbers works for me.

I hope you don't mind Mark but I used your car for a photoshop idea (although I don't have photoshop).

This is an option I think looks cool, as stated above.

Very Nice car, and with the minilites, very period-correct. Stay with the style of the era, roundels, decals, etc. Would look like Cegerer's period photos if done correctly. Doug

your car looks great as is. if you had do to something then i would study the cars coming out of emory's shop like markp's former 68, john thorntons 912r, richard mattei's. in talking with thornton, i hear that the senior emory is very particular about his stripes and circles. no stripes on the roof, how they start and stop on the rear, a certain width, etc. as for the circles there has to be certain relationships about size and how the bleed off or are cropped at certain panels.
there is also a new book out called porsche '63-'71 that has a great race ralleye section for ideas that would be factory correct.

RPM: sweet car! I like it.

Chris: I agree with your JAGERMEISTER preference. Here's another look (nice car, too!)
