Body work and paint pricing question
I droped my RUF YellowBird (BW Motorsports) front bumper off at the body shop and they quoted me a price of 550.00 to prep and paint the bumper. They are not installing it.
I was also given a price of 1300 to 1500.00 to cut the two rear fenders off and weld the Steal SC flares on and paint both sides. They claim that the price is high because it will take a full two days to do the rear. They are going to complete the work underneath the wheel well with some kind of composite filler. That way there will be very little signs of a "hack job" and no rough edges that will cut the rear tires. Does both have these prices sound correct.? Thanks Rick

The front bumper price sounds about right. The work for the rear flares sounds good or even a bit low.
How are they going to affix the flares? Butt welds I hope?

Thanks Dave,
I'm sure it will be butt welds. He also mentioned metal bonding. He said the labor was cheaper but the supplies were costly, so the price would be about the same overall. Rick
