H&R Coil-over strut,height adjustment

I'm new to coil-over suspensions, this is the rear of my 993 and I'm trying to raise the rear ride height about 1/2 inch.
There appear to be 3 rings which are threaded and can be adjusted up and down. The top one is the spring perch, then 2 smaller ones below it. Then the attachment for the sway bar (also threaded).
My question is can I raise the ride height by just bringing the spring perch up to the desired height followed by the 2 other rings, snugging them up and leaving the sway bar attachment
where it's at. In order to raise the sway bar attachment it looks like you'd have to remove the shock as it won't spin all the way around without interferance.
