Boot carpets

Before I take the plunge and take the tranny and engine out I'm prevaricating a little and carrying out a few other mods . Here's the re-fitted boot carpets. Found some hard wearing carpet ofmy chosen colour in a carpet store for £10.00 and got a local upholsterer to fit the OEM bead for £30.00, the bead cost a fiver.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1075990383.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1075990403.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1075990420.jpg

Very, very nice job...

Pretty smoooth

It looks like a nice job. I'm sorry but I must say the color makes me think of the interrior color scheme of an old style western Bordillo. I guess you don't care for the basic charcoal gray color carpet.

Bones 02-05-2004 07:52 AM

Actually it's not as bright as the camera leads you to believe, and Targa80 well I have to say I have never been in a bordello, you obviously have...lol

targa80 02-05-2004 08:04 AM

Actually no, but I am a fan of old western movies and there is usually a Bordello scene with very bright red carpet.

Please don't take offence to my comments. The carpet does look good it is just not my taste. Now a photo with bodacious naked lady laying on the carpet would be nice and it might change my opinion.

As I was looking at your trunk interior, I thought something looks different. I saw that the master cylinder is on the right side. I looked up your profile and saw that you are from London. That explains it- right hand drive!

Just trying to keep up.....David

If I can pull that off I'll PM you the result!

Hey Bones, don't just PM it!!

Nice carpeting BTW!

Cheers,

Tim.

While we are on the subject of the boot. I thought it would be an easy job to replace the seal that travels all the way around. Well when you come to do this you discover that you have to remove the bonnet as there is no room to squeeze one in there between the body panels and the open bonnet . Any cunning solutions?

Is that Vatican Red?

Beautiful, nice color!!!

epbrown 02-05-2004 06:45 PM

Nice job, but as a Guards Red targa owner, I think I'd reverse tjhe colors - black carpet with red beading. It'll hide dirt better in the long run...

But then it wouldn't feel like the sun has just come out when I open the bonnet!

I don't know what you lot think I do for a living but It doesn't involve but it doesn't presently involve slaughter or sacrifice.

Victor 02-07-2004 01:48 AM
