almost done with the suspension pics
to recap. I wanted to not spend much money and get the car back on the road right away.
That's not the way it panned out. This is how it started... Turbo tie rod boots torn to shreds and some other assorted problems Turns out I had also bent the front passenger rim pretty badly. So, once I got the front suspension out I scrubbed the wheel wells and pan with lacquer thinner for a few days. Stoneguarded and painted the wheel wells. I didn't think the opportunity to have the front wide open would come around soon again. I had the shocks rebuilt to sports by Bilstein (what a nightmare!) Sway bar bushings, A Arm Bushings, ball joints, cleaned and tightened up the steering rack and greased and adjusted everything, bump steer, new rim, I changed out a leaky o ring on the chain tentioner Everything that is black was stripped to metal and por15'd. The car will never be this clean again! A bunch of other stuff I don't even know and a few things I still need to do ![]() It seems like it has taken forever ![]() ![]()

The missing shock issue was resolved by Bilstein taking the stance that it was UPS' fault. It wasn't. Anyway UPS ate it without an investigation. Possible the 100 bucks for a shock was cheaper than an investigation.
I recieved a shock for a Koni strut 2 weeks after the three originals arrived. I needed one for a Bilstein strut. I called on on a thursday and told him itr was wrong and was told a new one would be shipped overnight and I'd have it this past Friday. And to rewrap the koni and UPS would pick it up. Friday night, nothing! Call again monday, can't get anyone. The guy I'm dealing with is out for the day and nobody else picking up their phones. I get a call tuesday it would be shipped right away. It was on my porch wednesday when I got home. The Bilstein/Koni sport is still out on the porch. I will never part with my shocks again!!!! lol It took 2 and a half weeks to get resolved.
