looking for a better window crank

I need some new window cranks and was wondering if anyone has found something better than the stock ones. I would like something to match the rs door panels and perhaps a bit longer than stock.

suggestions?

If you go longer than stock you will start getting interference w/ the door speakers(if any)

I had a problem with the knob pulling off every time I turned it. Crappy design. So I bought a set of cranks from Pepboys that matched. Better construction and longer.

The knobs are a problem. I replaced mine with lookalikes that fell apart after a while and then went to generic aftermarket, but not wild about the looks. Do you have a brand or partnumber for the Pepboys cranks? How do they look?

i bought a new reproduction set after the first set fell apart. the repro set eventually fell apart after a couple years. bought a set of used 65-6 7window cranks. i think this is a better and more durable design as i have had no problems with them in 3 years and you figure they're just about 33 years old. plus they look correct with the RS door panels.

I took some off of a BMW 320i and they match the RS pannels pretty well. they are cheap and solidly built. However I have to live with the fact that i have a BMW part on my P-car.... Just have to go into a denial state of mind.;)

Hetman, part # i don't know. But they where the in the do it yourself isle. Red package. There was a wide variety. I chose a set that was almost identical to stock.

Do any of the billet VW cranks fit? I have power windows, so I'm not certain, but I assume they are splined?

One option is the early style.

I've always wanted the ones marketed by Vilem B Haan in the 1960's-70's with holes in them -- for a ic search for my name crank and haan.

Post if you find something cool.

I went to the wrekin' yard and found a set of BMW handles that fit. They're chrome, but otherwise I don't think about them much.
