Replace caber plate bushings?
 

I'm installing Konis during my suspension rebuild. They came with new rubber bushings for the top camber plate, but I'm not sure if I should use them or stick with the old OEM style.
Any preference or ideas what is better?
The old ones are in good condition and very different from the replacements that came with the new shocks.

I used my old ones. That said, i will be putting monoballs in there in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, Monoballs aren't in the budget yet.
I'd prefer to replace them but I'm not sure if that would be bad or not.

Are you sure those are meant to replace the rubber strut top bushing? I don't know about Konis, but I don't see how it could fit. The hole in the camber plate is bigger that any of the rubber bits in the left picture. I think those are just rubber snubbers.

Nope the rubber stops are on the shocks and are much longer. And altough it doesn't look like it in the pick they are pretty close on OD, but are much thicker than the porsche ones.

Most people just leave the stock rubber. I've done it both ways.

In general, I would leave the stock rubber unless it is showing deterioration. It is more substantial than the koni replacements and I would guess deforms less under load. Of coarse monoballs are the way to go if deformation is a real concern.

I also kept my old ones...they were in good shape.

I also guess it would maintain alignment settings by keeping the "old" hole for the upper shock shaft to pass through.

Thanks guys. I'll plan on keeping the old ones in then. I pulled them off knowing I'd loose my camber settings because I wanted to make sure all the metal on the underside was in good strong condition. Plus since I am completely rebuilding the suspension, I'd have to change settings anyway.
