lumpy full lock

Hey all

I have noticed that my 89 3.2 Carrera feels very lumpy under low speed and on full lock all most as if the wheels are rubbing in the arches but I can find no evidence of this.
I have spoken to the PO and he says that he once spoke to Porsche UK about it and that it is nothing to worry about?
what do you guys and girls think??

Thanx

Paul

Mine is the same & the left front wheel definitely rubs on the inside of the wheel well. Have you had the wheel off to check for rubbing.
I think this is pretty common & nothing to worry about. I don’t spend much time at full lock anyway.

The geometry of the steering gear / front suspension is a little funky at full lock I think, which contributes to the odd lumpy feel.

I noticed this weekend that when the car is pitched hard into a low-speed right turn, my left front tire was fouling the lower clips that hold the hoses in the wheelwell. This is not at full-lock, so may be a different problem. Those hoses and clips are often somewhat dirty, so you could could peek under there and look for shiny / rubbed clean spots.
