Color Wiring Diagrams for 1980 911
Is there a place to find a full chart color wiring diagram for 1980 911sc? Or a full chart anywhere other than the Haynes manual?
Is there any tips on reading these? Understanding of the symbols, and what the lines are doing? Not like the old school diagrams that I have been accustom too. |

Well, I know they aren't in color, but our host has wiring diagrams, anyway. Does this help at all?
http://www.pelicanparts.com/911/911_Parts/911_electrical_diagrams.htm These are flow diagrams, not like old-school wiring diagrams. After reading these, you'll never want to go back. Current flows down from the top to the bottom. The bottom is ground (earth, if you will), and the top is the grand unified source of all power. Or something like that. Stop and have an alcoholic beverage of your choice, look at the diagram sideways, then upside-down, and have another go -- it's really a lot simpler than it looks. Or maybe one of the guys who really knows wiring diagrams can weigh in on this with a better description of how flow diagrams operate. Good luck, Dan
