Oil tank wire
Found the problem. There is no wire to my oil tank. I know, I know, a lot of you say forget it, but the gauge pegged at the top is annoying. Bentley says it's a white wire. It looks like there are two male spade connectors on the sending unit. One of the previous owners must have chopped off the wire (s).
So the question is. wher are the wires? Which harness would they be in so I cam perform surgery and hook this thing up? Thanx, Brian

Oil sending unit
My oil tank wires were hooked together with the rear tail light wires. They plug into a plug inside the engine compartment on the oil tank side.

What I see is a plug going into the upper rear of the right rear quarter panel. Is this the plug? If it is, the it would appear I have to remove the oil tank just to get at it. Say it ain't so, Joe!!

Look on the other side of the plug, up inside the fender. Jim

On my car, the left and right tail light harnesses are the same. The 2 wires for the oil tank are just taped up in a folded coil. If you can't find the remnants of the original 2 wires, maybe you can swap the lleft side for the right. The connectors are on the 2 wires ready to go. Cut the tape and string it over to the tank.
