'78 SC front wheel bearing maintaince
How often should the front wheel bearings be repacked/adjusted on a 1978 SC? I just bought it in Spring '03, and drive it maybe

Most cars should be done about 20 000 km although you can strech it out to about 30 000 km with any trouble. I do mine at 20 k. Todd |

Bob,
If you clean and repack them with a premium EP Moly grease such as Valvoline SynPower Synthetic Grease with Moly #985 or #986, and replace the grease seal every two years ... you will never have any trouble with the bearings.
