engine ideas for track car...

well, my first porsche is just having some finishing touches on it then she is done. i already have the itch to jump on to another car and do a total teardown and build it into a superlight, great handling(suspension like BBII) track car. my big hangup is what engine/trans to run in the thing. my first idea was a wiz bang 3.8 crankfired motec managed engine. hah, i looked into my bank account and reality struck. so what would you guys say is a good base that can be improved on over time?? i dont want a turbo and i would love to have a G50. im thinking 3.2, 3.4, 3.6 area. what have your experiences been???

I'd say a `97 Euro (Varioram) 3.6L and it's accompanying 6-spd. G50 would be a good start!

i like the idea of a mostly stock euro 3.6 because i can always go up to a 3.8 later. tyson has a great idea for saving some weight by using the plastic intake system. his weight saving sickness is slowly becoming my own.
