2.7 Value? annd?

Okay, I know my screen name gives me away,
BUT gimme a break....gotta question:
I know a guy who has an engine, says its a 2.7R, out of his 77'.
I can get it for what I consider a good deal. And I'm POOR.
Anyhow, I'm picking it up in the morning, it ran well but smoked had 150K on it, was removed COMPLETE and sits in his shop.
Has updated chain tensioners (oil fed) and some other updates and good stuff.
Any idea of a ballpark value?
I doubt I can afford to upgrade everything on my 914 to make the /6 usable in the car AND rebuild the 2.7 so I probably hafta part with it.
He also has a set of 17"(X7&8's I think) Cup wheels, and a set of 3-piece A.R.E. 16"x6&7"'s (BBS look Alikes..?) he's probably willing to sell cheap.

I'm guessing he means it's a 7R (the latest & greatest of the Mg 2.7s) case?
