How'd they do this?

How do you suppose that screen was put on? I would like to do something similar...right now my DVD screen is sort of half-ass mounted on with velcro (intended to be temporary).

Yikes!
More importantly than "how" is "why".

I hope by "similar" you mean "not like this at all".

Most high-end install places can fab anything you need -- the better of them can make it look like it belongs.

Good luck.

I will be sending you a bill for my healthcare since that photo caused a horrific epileptic seizure and left me writhing on the floor next to my Porsche.

I believe here in NJ it's illegal to have a "TV" screen positioned for the driver.

How'd they do this? Apparently, there were mass quantities of illegal drugs involved .........

Yikes...
"Deep breath...count to ten..."
Ok, Here's what you need to do.
Order a 930S center console (after getting your measurements) and have a sound shop do the install.
I wouldn't put anything on top of the dash... you'd be just begging to get pulled over.

For future reference, if you're going to post pictures like that, please warn the rest of us first.

I think our moderators should move this thread over to this one:

"Extra points if your cloths match your 911 ! "
Extra points if your cloths match your 911 !

.... then locate the matching garments.

I see young male drivers on the freeway all the time with DVD screens mounted either to the dash or to the center console. It may be a coincidence they all seem to drive compact cars made in Asia. It also seems that they prefer to modify their cars a great deal with image the main objective and not performance.
It is not a coincidence that when I spot these drivers in their little cars I usually give them a wide berth. Some things do not go together. Driving and watching TV are two that come to mind.

That is as P.C. as I can be. Others might say that putting a DVD screen in a 911 is too ricer, I prefer not to go there. I'm intentionally trying to bite my tongue.
Just out of curiosity, what other modifications have you made or do you plan to make to your 911 besides a DVD screen?

I'm betting subwoofer, huge speakers, modified exhaust and a K&N filter.

You've got to be kidding. If not, you sir have missed the whole point in driving a 911. I don't even listen to my radio.

Appology accepted.
I do have a serious question if you don't mind answering:

What is the purpose of the DVD screen? Is it something you look at when parked or when driving?

We have one in my wife's SUV but that's for the kids to watch on long trips and is only visible from the back seats.

I don't even have a radio; I was upgraded to the "crackhead lightweight option" back in July and never found anything that wasn't too blinged-out to replace it.
