Wheel ID #?
Anyone know which Fuchs wheels these are:
ID# 911 361 020[10] AS162 28139 They are suppossed to be 6j x 15. Are these the 6's from the early 70's? Thanks |

I believe that is the part number for the later, tubeless 6J x 15" Fuchs wheel. The early "deep" 6s were a tube type wheel (no safety bead) with a 901 part number (901.361.012.06, maybe?)

Hi Tom,
Just checked out your website. Good pic's. Also, I liked your boat idea. I have a 67 911 and a 73 911E too. Good mix since you get a taste of the early SWB's and the last of the early LWB ones. Since I don't do any track racing, I have kept both as street cars though, and I have tried to keep both close to original except for some performance enhancements. The 67 was originally a 911 normale, with the engine rebuilt to S spec's using early 911S P&C's, S cams, ported polished and bench flowed S heads. It has also has S alloy calipers in front and Bilteins, and a set deep 6's, and early S combo gauges. The deco is still the narrow type and outside thet car looks like a sleepy little early 911 with a nice set of rims. However, it has embarassed more than a few of later model 911's! The 911E is just completing restoration. It is pure stock, expect that I have tweaked the engine with flycut heads, 37mm intake ports and 906 cams, and a set of Webers instead of the MFI. The cams speak for themselves above 5k rpm's. |
