Fuel tank vacuum line sizes/routing

I have been replacing the vacuum lines in the luggage compartment to rid myself of noxious fuel vapors so I can safely take up smoking and look cool as I drive around town. Below is a very amaturish schematic of the sizes of the lines--all but one. I know a couple people (including myself) have posted requesting this info.

I can't tell where the small line (3.5/7.5) inside the luggage compartment disappears to. I found one end behind the fuse panel.

The other end disappears behind the fuel tank. Where does it go and how do I get at it? Thanks.

I do believe you will discover that fuel vapor line goes through the fire wall on the driver's side of the fuel tank (there is a rubber gromment sealing the line to the firewall), then back behind the driver's side floor board then behind the gas pedal and into the center tunnel where it connects to a metal line which runs the length of the tunnel and exits at the back of the tunnel into the engine compartment. I recall replacing this line with the fuel tank out of the car; I'm not sure one can get to the firewall gromment with the fuel tank in place. At the rear of the tunnel another rubber/fabric covered line will lead up to the air box where the fuel vapors are inducted into the engine and burned. The engine side hose is likely to be in the worst shape due to the hot environment of the engine compartment. Cheers, Jim

Just to close out this thread and so future people have all the info they need, the vacuum line that passes through the firewall is 42" 3.5/7.5. I removed the carpet, etc. around the pedals per this thread:

Carpet removal driver's side

I didn't remove the tank, but instead poked a wire through the end of the hose, wrapped it around and then taped it with electrical tape. From the pedal area I pulled the old line through. Use the same wire to wrap around the new line from the pedal area. Pull the wire back through from the luggage compartment area.

Now onto the vacuum and fuel lines in the engine compartment area...
