Monty Muffler

I am having a hard time with AASE. I had planned to buy a Dual Out muffler from them to go with my SSI's, but they haven't been very reliable. This is for an '84 Carrera, does anyone here know of another American distributor or anyone on here have one for sale?

I've looked into Monty and heard it is a good muffler. The problem is that it is made out of the country, has limited vendors, and is generally hard to get a better price. Why Monty? Other then those that should be avoided, GHL and Fabspeed can most likely match the price. I actually picked up a NLA Borla for a SSI Quad out 911. They stopped making these about 6 years ago, along with most other Porsche exhaust. I had a Borla on my car originally and was impressed by the weight, sound and quality. And they do back up there warranty with repairing and replacing. The only question is how loud it will be. It looks loud just sitting there!

Maybe, it's pro vs. end-user? Can you describe the problem you're having in more detail?

Ditto.

Never ordered a Monty from Aase (Dave), but have bought quite a few other parts (which Pelican didn't carry) without any issues. He has always been quick to get back to me if I have questions too.

Ordered around Mid-December. Got call a few days later saying they were out of stock and a new shipment would be in 3-4 weeks. No call back. Call on Feb. 11, says that they will call me back in 10 days with an update. Total wait time= Two months
