What's inside a Recaro backrest?

I have Recaro SRDs in an SC that's used frequently enough on the track that I am installing a back support bolted to the rollbar (a DAS) to keep the seat from submarining under the horizontal part of the rollbar in a rearward impact. I'm having it fabricated locally. My question: Does anybody know how much of a Recaro SRD seatback is solid enough to take the pressure of such a back support in an impact? The upper half of the seatback seems pretty solid, but lower than that it's suspiciously soft, and I don't want the support extending so far down that it'll punch through an unsubstantial part of the seat. Anybody know what's inside those things?

This is off their website:

"Essential safety factors of RECARO seats are:

> A high backrest to support the back.
> The fully padded headrest, which is adjustable for both height and inclination helps providing absorption in the event of head impact.
> Seat height and seat inclination adjustment to achieve the desired sitting position and the correct angle of view.
> The closed backrest.
> A computer optimised metal structure which can absorb deformation energy.
> The shape of the seat cushion and a stable cross piece in the seat frame helps to reduce what is known as the “submarining effect” in the event of frontal impact, i.e., slipping through under the seat belt.
