Carrera Clutch Slave cylinder update

While the engine is down on the garage floor, I'd like to replace my clutch slave cylinder. Porsche recommends installing the updated one, 950-116-237-11, as this one helps resolve noise problems while in neutral. Pelican lists this one for Carrera 2/4's and newer. Will this one work in my 87?
