Through the body swaybar for 3.2 Carrera

Did Porsche ever have as an option a "through the body" front swaybar on the 3.2 Carreras?

Our local club allows adjustable swaybars in the "improved" class, but it doesn't allow one to cut the body. I'm wondering if any cars came from the factory with those holes already cut, because then we could take advantage of the "similar equipment in class" rule that would allow us to cut those holes.

I know that the outlines for where the holes should go exist in the sheetmetal already, but did any cars come from the factory with the holes already cut?

Cheers,

Dean

I don't think anything had come with those in several years by the time the 3.2 came out. (Except, maybe, full-on racecars)

No through the body sway bars were made for the 3.2 Carrera. If yours has one then it is an aftermarket.

I'm also sure that P stopped using though body bars in early '70's.
"Similar in class" is that the early '70 car, because then you can use that rule, they had the through body bar.
Adjustable sway bars are wonderfull until adjusted. After that, you really don't use the adjustability. I know they're a pain to change but go for a fixed in the right size and adjust car balance on the rear swaybar.

Similar in class would only be for 84-89 Carreras in this case - so those are the only models I care about. We've got a competitor who feels that the holes on his car might be from the factory on an 86 Cab - not my 86 cab, which has no holes
