what size spark plug socket?

I'm getting ready to do the first spark plug change on my 83SC with stock 3.0 engine, the car does not have the factory tool kit with the spark plug wrench so what is the correct size socket?I've been told it is a 19mm.Thanks

13/16" - I purchased the universal socket Wayne had suggested in "101 Projects" from Sears with very good results. I had to use a small extension and it worked rather well (the first one is the most difficult until you get the proper feel).http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...amingdevil.gif

additional clarifying info: the product is a 13/16" Sears Craftsman swivel spark plug socket (P/N 43323).

I also sent you a PM regarding the two oil lines that I am interested in purchasing.

I have found that a 3" extension, welded or pinned to a standard 13/16" socket, with a rubber plug holder (this is a must), solves the problem of the "missing" socket and/or missing plug, when you are trying to remove or install. plugs.

The factory plug socket is so great for this that you should try to get one sometime.
