Can DME from a 3.2 be retrofitted to a 3.0L?

The name of the thread says it all. Just wondering if the Motronic injection system from a carrera can be fitted onto a SC. Like unplug CIS and install a complete setup onto a 3.0L longblock. If it could be done I guess it would have been more ppopular. Do the pistons/cams prevent this?
We did a search and couldn't find anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

Pistons and cams don't prevent this I think what's holding people back is the fact that webers are cheaper and you can then upgrade cams/pistons for more HP. Also you will have to remap the system which I don't belive there is a baseline for this at all. Just much more work for not a whole lot of return.

I think you could do it but it wouldn't make difference in power for the amount of trouble.
