Smog Check/Test

I just got my notice for my smog check at a test only station. I don't think she will have a problem but is their anything I should look for before I go in for a smog check. We do not fall under the gross polluter category - do we?? I thought the limit was 2 years - I had the car smogged when the ownership transfer was done and it has only been a year - it this normal??
