993 Soft tops on pre'89 911's ?

Hi gang,

I was giving my car the Zymol wax treatment yesterday and even though the results were spectacular, the faded & stained soft-top seems to stand out even more now against the glistening duco

Has anyone here done a 993 soft-top conversion on a pre-89 Cab?

If so, how much would one be looking at to have this done?

Is it a "simple" bolt-in replacement conversion?

Well, I've just answered the "how much" question:

Now for the "will it fit" question???

apparently it can be done, but they look wrong on an early car, imo.
