a stock set will work just as good as the $$$magnacores$$$.

That's what I say too. In fact, you can test and reuse the connectors, and just replace with wire. If all the connectors are good, you're looking at perhaps $20. It's your money.

alright. but in my defense i did check into a new stock set, which isnt cheap at all. i talked to darren @ pp and he spoke highly of the grounding braid. and i am having a hard time finding stock 7mm wire (bulk). what do i do with the distributer end? there is a clipped on section.
and the beru ends are about $20apiece.

Do you have a single or twin plug set up on your engine? I have a complete set of magnecor wires. Bottom 6 are brand new and never installed. Top set has 1 summer of driving on it. This set is the thicker version that they offer with the extra shielding. Contact me if interested. Thanks. Jim

Hey Cliff,

I still have the OEM wires and connectors that came off my car recently. The new magnecores weren't a life-changing experience, so I doubt there's anything seriously wrong with my old wires. Let me know if you think you'd have any use for them.

If you find some bulk wire & end up needing to replace a couple of connectors I have an old set if you want. When I took them off I tested a couple for the hell of it & I think they were within spec.

I used a set of Jacobs that I paid $129 for, they work fine and have a nice solid "click" when they snap on the plug and they don't fall off...
