Polishing intake ports. Also exhaust?

I just got a look at my cylinder heads that were machined at Ollies. Beautiful job, I might add. These were machined to accept 3.4l pistons and cylinders, along with new valve guides and twin plugged. My engine builder has given me the option of polishing the intake ports to remove the rough casting marks. He had mentioned the intakes are more critical then the exhaust ports. Should I do both? I've already had the intakes extrudehoned. I'm imagining a dremel with all the applicable points would be the tool of choice. Other that have tried, opinions?
