Leaky Fuel Pump... options?
Hi,
I have a 71 911E, converted to Webers many years ago w/original Bosch fuel pump. After sitting around for a few years, I've started restoring it and found the fuel pump leaking quite a bit where the electrical connector mates the body. If I somehow uncrimp the body housing to take it apart, is there a gasket that can be replaced, or should I just purchase a rebuilt one and be done with it? The pump works fine otherwise. Thanks, Karl |

Purchase a new fuel pump, don't want an engine fire to destroy your car for a 25 buck fuel pump.

there are several quiet inline pumps that put out about 3# pressure that are cheap and easy to install. about $65 for the one i usually get.

Thanks for your suggestion. What would you recommend for a substitute for the original Bosch? Also, should I relocate it to the engine compartment instead of the under the chassis location it is now?
Thanks, Karl |
