Hi everyone,
New member here. A great Board and proud to be a new member. I have a 96 911 C2 cab I purchased a few years ago. About 50,000 miles. I believe I need a new clutch because during hard acceleration I experience some clutch slippage. The dealer pointed it out to me during a routine service but I never believed him until I experienced the slippage - twice now. Anyway, three questions: 1) If the dealer installs a new stock clutch, can you guys give me an estimate for probable parts and labor to be sure I am not 'taken'? 2) Is there any after-market clutches I should look at to increase performance if I must do this repair anyway? 3) If the engine is apart for the install, any preventative maintenance I should do to avoid future labor charges? Thanks, Adam |
