went to crystal cove this morning...
my first time. a great local gathering. saw my first Enzo in person... this one was orangeish. definitely not red.
there were about 1/2 dozen long hoods, some 356's, a bunch of newer 993/996 types... a hemi coronet, a superbird, a '58 fury, a 60's grand sport stingray, that blue 904, a diablo, nomads, etc. the best part of the morning was the strafing run by 3 WW2 fighters. i believe there was one mustang and two thunderbolts. does anyone attend regularly?

If you go on Ferrarichat.com, (where Wayne's hanging out these days
) they usually have quite a few pics of the attendees. Haven't made it down there recently, but you can see just about anything at one time or another...Stuff that even a car guy like me can't name! All Ferrari's are common place there(there's been at least one Enzo there for the last month or so), the really rare like Hispano-Suiza, Talbot-Lago, Buggati etc are really cool. And of course the Porsches...need I say more?http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10462 Last edited by 89turbocabmike; 03-06-2004 at 10:50 PM.. |

I went, got a flat tire on coast hwy, changed that, pulled into parking lot and finally found a space a mile away from the action. Noticed spare was not holding air and left to go to tire shop, got tire fixed{valve stem failed}, an hour later drove home disgusted with the day.
If you go, get there at least by 7:00 am or your left out. Jerry |

sorry for the misfortune this morning. i was excited because i'd never been and got there at 6:35. i was third in line to get in behind two vipers. behind me filed in a big block stingray, a 356b, a 62 beetle, a 454 chevelle, a maserati 3500... it was great!
i parked next to a nice gentleman selling an orange '71 E targa. never did get the asking price.

Waiting in line? What is that all about? Is there parking control?
At the Donut Derelicts, it's a free-for-all. Glad to hear the early cars made a good showing. |

yes there is security. they don't let you in the parking lot till 7 if you're in the event. you can get in if you're incognito in the camry or expedition, but the lineup begins at 6:30.

Looks like next Sat March 13 has a large Porsche (mostly 996/TT) group attending.
Check it out: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=7379 Never been there, but will try the 13th. So what happens if one arrives after 0700? Is there any parking other than the small lot that fills up by 0703? Mike '86 coupe
