Powder Coating Specialties (near Golden where I70 crosses over 6th) quoted me $75 about a year ago to coat a pair of roof rack tubes and the three supporting towers on each side.

The problem in this case is stripping nickel chrome off of where it isn't already peeling away from the tubes. PCS said the labor to do that would go way beyond the powder coat costs; good prep is important just as it is with regular painting.

You guys now have me chomping for a smoker tall enough to bake 4' tubing.
