need a key for 80 911 will door lock help locksmith?
I know Ive taken out door lock cores to bring to locksmith for key making but didnt know if an 1980 911 would be the same .. there are no numbers on the core wich seems that was the case when I did it before with a diferent make car..

I pulled my trunk and glove box cylinders and brought them to my locksmith. He needed to order the pins but had the whole thing done in 2 working days. I gave him a key to select the tumblers.

My keys were made from the glove box lock, which had a number on it.

As long as you haven't changes anything that takes a key, Porsche should be able to make new keys from your VIN. Atleast, that is what I have been told.
