Hi,
I have all of my injectors out of the car and think it would be usefuly to clean them by soaking them in some cleaning agents. Any recommendation on what to use? I have heard everything from the fuel injectors cleaners that you dump in gas tank to using Gunk degreaser. thanks...

I would just leave them in the car and run 3 tanks of gas with chevron techron. Works for me everytime. I have heard that the Porsche dealers have an ultrasonic device to clean them up also. Lastly, hook them up to the fuel lines and spray them into a container to check the patterns.

I soaked mine in techron additive for a week. Not sure if it did anything or not...

My friend who is an ex-mechanic says the best thing is BG Clean - hands down. He worked on Mazda, Lexus, BMW, etc.
I need a service on my car, and I'm not ready to pay the $160 Check it out: http://www.bgprod.com/bgprofessional/bgproducts/autofuel.html http://www.bgfindashop.com/ use BG ISC first and then maintain with BG 44 He told me that they run this stuff into the fuel rail for about 30-40 minutes, and it cleans so well that black soot literally comes out of the engine for a while. Happy motoring! |
