Anyone buy from Wheel Enchacement?

Thinking of buying a set of fuchs from them? I heard there is new management, any thoughts.

Lance

Lance,
I bought an aftermarket set of turbo twist for my car a couple of years ago and had a good experience. Hope this helps - Tim

I bought a set of their refurbished fuchs second hand. Don't know how the service is but the wheels are flawless.

I have dealt with them under the "old" and "new" regimes (and locations; they moved quite a while ago). No problems in any of my transactions.

Also FYI they can get most of the popular DOT-R tires at very competitive pricing AND mount and balance on top-line equipment on site. I used to order from Tire Rack but no reason to anymore...

Bought 2 new Fuchs (9" x 16") with new yoko's on them about 2 months ago. Smooth transaction and they even offered $100 apiece trade-in on my 6's although I sold them myself for a bit more.

I just bought a pair of OEM 9X16 from them. Service was fine and the product was great.

Seems consensus is they do good work, but you pay for it. They'll give you peanuts if you want to trade in some fuchs, yet command top $$ if you want to buy some fuchs...hmmmm.

Couple yrs back, they were asking $700. each for Fuch 16x8(911offset) or 16x9's. They were willing to take my 15x7 and 15x8's for trade, but it was so low (can't remember exact amount), that it was totally ridiculous.
Sold my (4) 15's for $500, and found (2) 16x8's for $500/total off ebay.

Bottom line: if you shop around, it'll be cheaper. If you don't want to hassle it, go to W.E.

Haven't dealt with them lately, but I did speak to them a few years ago about a set of wheels.

The person on the phone was rude and condescending. He didn't take time to listen to my questions, and spoke at me instead of with me. Needless to say I didn't buy anything. Hopefully, the new regime is in place since that time and they have sorted these problems out.

On the other hand Harvey Weidman does great work and is a great guy to deal with. Knows his stuff and takes the time to discuss it with you. I had him do the wheels on my '73. You can't go wrong with Harvey.

I have dealt with them on a couple of occasions and both they and their products have been great. I would recommend them.

I bought my Kenisis Supercups w/Kuhmo tires from them. Great service, friendly salespeople, and same or next day email question follow up. I thought the prices were good on the wheels and tires and as far as the trade in complaints from the previous people you have to remember WE has to refurbish and resell at a profit so your not going to get top dollar on trade ins. I would recommend dealing with them for any of their products based on my experience.

I would second Chuck's recommendation for Harvey Weidmann- he refinished my 15 7&8s and did a fantastic job.

When I spoke with them (a while ago, perhaps the "old" crew) the guy was a condescending little ass.

I asked about 16" X 9" polished Fuchs.

$725 each.
