The front fender is somewhat different on a 964 vs earlier 911s. Easiest way that I know of is to remove the front bumper, loosen the screws under the hood and remove the fender bolts on the inside of the wheel well and behind where the door closes. The trick is that the 964 has inner fender well oil lines, oil cooler, wiring etc that is in the way (on passenger side). After every thing else is removed, the folks a Porsche but a bunch of seam sealer btwn the body and the fender. It is not easy to break the sealer but it can be done. Oh and be sure the battery is disconnected because the air bag sensors is underneath the front of the fender (disclaimer: refer to factory manual for air bag stuff)
