Wake sleeping beauty, wake...

Hello all. It's been a long, cold and very busy winter here in the East but spring is finally in the air (well, almost anyway).

Bought a new house in December and had Phoenix flatbedded up (too much salt on the roads to risk driving) and she's been sitting in her garage for a few months now.

As spring is coming and Phoenix will feature in our upcoming wedding (she'll be my last drive as a single guy and the first as a married man), I'm begining to wake her up from her long (since Nov) slumber. First on the list is/are batteries.

I think i've narrowed it down to the Odyssey PC1200MJT. Though it's not stock, I like the fact that it's a dry cell and that it fits in the fenders using stock mounting harware. teh fact that it's sideways is a plus to me as you have better access to the terminals.

I've gone through all the the posts here but am still unclear if I can use one of these in each terminal or have to switch to a single battery?

Any advice?

Any other hints on how to wake her up without causing any damage?

Oliver,

I'm not familiar with the Odyssey battery. I put an Optima in my car last spring when I took her out of staorage and I've been very happy with the battery. I started the car and drove it a few weeks ago (it was 60 on 2/29 here in Michigan!) and the car started on the first crank!

Oliver,

I started the car, then let her idle for 15 minutes or so without pressing the gas pedal. I checked the oil level and all was well and drove the car and got the temps up to 180. The ambient temps were in the high 50's-low 60's and the car ran great! I had StaBil in the gas tank also...

I wish there was an easy way to get some oil cycled before firing it up for the first time in the spring. I cringe when i fire it up for the first time. I'm envisioning all the accelerated wear that it's sure to be experiencing.

Pull the coil wire, or for FI remove the fuel pump relay. Spin it 'til the light goes off.

edit: smatass comment removed for PC.

Bump:

If I didn't want to convert to a single battery system, could I use 2 Odyssey PC1200MJTs without doing any harm?
