Autin, TX Drive this Sunday? Interested?
I am new to the Hill Country Roads in TX and want to meet some new faces. I have just been cleared for a day of play this Sunday, March 21.
I plan to explore some new roads surrounding Austin and would love a few people to have lunch with and show me the way as my map only goes so far. If you are interested send me a PM. If you can't go and have some suggestions for a good route, post it here. If you have a suggested meeting area that would be great. I plan on getting out about 830-9am. Thanks, hope you see you Sunday. I promise my NoVA roots will leave your engine in the car. Jamie

Hey -- this weekend we're all heading to Texas World Speedway for PCA Club Race...take the FM roads over state hwy's and you'll have a nice drive. TWS is east of Austin by a couple of hours.

Jamie, now don't go and promise those Austin guys that you'll spare them the gratuitous engine drop. Don't you wanna jam a 3.6 in your ST replica? Remember, NoVA roots run deep!

Jamie, would love to join you, but the car's uninsured at the moment (working on that). Maybe in a couple weeks?

Sorry everything didn't work out. I guess we need to set a date in advance.
My wife and I did a nice 160 mile jaunt around the lake area in the targa. Top out, right foot controllling the volume on the 6 piece stereo. nothing was better. I didn't even get the usual looks to slow down. Besides 71 being quite boring the side roads that loop in and around were very fun. The only problem I had was forgetting the sun screen. I shoulda taken pictures.

Jamie,
If I would have seen this post earlier, I would have joined you yesterday, but I guess I haven't checked the board since last thursday... doh!!! It was a little cool/damp yesterday morning, but it warmed up nicely. Must have been a great drive. Get in touch with me next time you want to go for a drive and I'll be there if I can.
