pelican does not have them or i would have bought it there...i bid on it on ebay and it was 100 us$ note to wayne.
i checked for a part number and could not find it so i think it is not a porsche mirror but it looks and feels pretty good so it works for me..
there is one on ebay now, check it out

they are porsche mirrors, my left one has a part number where it bolts to the door.. maye you have a repro? ( wouldn't matter to me , as long as it looks identical and it seems to look identical to me)

they were used only in 72-73 according to the restorers guide to authenticity( but it only covers early , so don't know if it's authentic on later models)

thanks for the link

i always thought that a right hand drive car would need them so i would think that they would be available as an option then
It is not perfect but it is useable and unless y ou look real close, you would not know the difference,,,i have a brand new left side mirror and they look the same.

i'll keep looking, don't like ebaying from a seller in the us, even if he has good rating... to complicated

i do agree . they are available , PP just doesn't stock em on the site..
and i've become to lazy to look elsewhere
that's a compliment to PP, i'm buying stuff, which when unpacking, has german newspaper !!!

truth is, there is no european alternative to PP
and prices, even with shipping are competitive because in most cases the exchange rate cancels out the shipping cost

I am pretty sure the ebay mirror is a repro. I bought one from the seller (Partwerks) and it's quality is OK, not great. But it works fine and combined with a Porsche 74-77 mirror on the driver's side, the visibility is very good now while driving.

Yes, the 72-73 one that Svandamme mentioned is a bit smaller. They are a bit bigger for '74. The only place I could find one was also the reproduction one at Partwerks. If you call them, they will sell you one. I You don't have to wait for one on EBay, but it might save you $10. I think the price for mine (nonauction)from Partwerks was $79. It is not quite as well made as an original and only pivots in one joint (bottom) instead of two (like the original), but it matches and works reasonably well. Perf. Parts also used to carry them (repros), but not any more.
