84 911 Cruise Control
Anyone know how to diagnose a cruise control? I have the two vacuum lines coming off of it. The small one hooks in to a tube coming off the air filter assembly, the big one does not seem to have a home. Does it hook in somewhere. Someone once told me it was not to be hooked up to anything. Is there a relay I might have to replace?
Thanks |

The big one just vents. the little hose is the vacuum source hose. What is it doing, or not?

The cruise control will not engage when I push the lever on the steering column.

Could be a bunch of thing from vacuum leak to malfunction servo to a bad control unit. Check the Bentley manual, I think they have a section on cruise control and fixing it.
On the SC cars, the cruise control is set by pushing the lever UP. Pulling the lever toward you CANCEL the cruise. And pushing the lever DOWN reset the cruise. Last edited by ruf-porsche; 03-14-2004 at 04:26 PM.. |
