vaseline wheel trick
Just did the valesine fuchs conditioning today, what a big difference! I first washed them down with griot's gentle wheel wash, and wasn't overly impressed. Lots of streaks that appeared in the silver part of the wheel.
As per the urgings here, I lubed them up, let it sit for an hour, and buffed them out. I am very very impressed with how good they look. I'll do it again, and again ![]() Thanks to all that contributed to the history of pelican for this tip. I know it's in my manual, but I don't know where it is ![]()

It works great. Only problem is, every piece of dirt and brake dust stick to the vaseline like ugly on an ape.

Anything that can be done to keep the dirt/dust down once doing this?

Well, you can buff it in really, really, really well.
Some use wax instead as it doesn't have the dirt sticking ability of the vasoline. |
