Plugs on rear fenders in front of wheels

I am adding 930 Rockers and Rear brake vents to my wide body 911. What are the round plugs with a rubber gasket around them, located on the lower rear fenders and just behind the doors? The rocker panels usually cover half of them. It looks like they are used to remove part of the suspension. Thanks, Bruce

Souk- The torsion bar is there. I would like to weld them shut when I do the rockers. What are chances I will ever need them again. My car is a casual sometime driver. Thanks, Bruce

If you just tack weld a round "plug" on the inside, then undercoat to seal the small gap, you'll be able to grind the tack welds out later. If you break a t-bar, you'll be in a shop anyway...or you'll be doing your own work, and you'll know what to do.

If my car and most cars can go 20+ years on the stock t-bars, it's probably OK, but the next owner may curse you....

Replace the bushings first, set ride height and corner balance, then do what you want..... just inform a buyer if you sell later. It'll be good info and make it easier on the next owner.

If the rockers cover it, why not just do what the factory did?

Souk- The rockers just cover half of the plugs. Thanks for the advice. I'll have my mechanic do the work before I seal them shut. Really appreciate your time. Bruce
